ABOUT BRITISH EPC
Commercial Energy Expertise Since 2008
British EPC is an independent commercial energy consultancy specialising in Commercial EPCs, SBEM Calculations, Energy Statements and energy-performance consultancy for commercial property throughout the UK.
Established at the introduction of Commercial EPC legislation in 2008, we have built extensive experience across the commercial property sector, working with property owners, investors, developers, asset managers, managing agents and occupiers.
From individual retail units and industrial buildings to major offices, hotels, shopping centres and complex multi-occupancy developments, our approach remains the same: professional, independent and technically informed advice focused on the needs of our clients.
Experience That Makes a Difference
Commercial buildings are rarely straightforward.
Over the years, British EPC has assessed a diverse range of properties, from small high-street premises through to large and technically complex commercial assets exceeding several thousand square metres.
Our experience allows us to look beyond simply producing a certificate. We understand how building fabric, heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and renewable technologies interact to influence a property's energy performance.
Where improvement is required, we can help clients understand the options available and identify practical routes towards higher EPC ratings, MEES compliance and long-term decarbonisation objectives.
Trusted Across Commercial Property
British EPC has been entrusted with energy assessments across some exceptional commercial properties.
Our portfolio includes major Central London offices, luxury hotels, retail developments, industrial estates and mixed-use commercial buildings, alongside thousands of individual commercial energy assessments completed over the years.
Projects have included the Broadwick Soho Hotel, where British EPC completed the Commercial EPC assessment in November 2023, together with substantial office and retail properties including 30 Broadwick Street and 95 Wigmore Street.
This breadth of experience gives our clients confidence that their property is being assessed by a consultancy that understands both the technical requirements and the commercial realities of managing property.
Independent. Client Focused. Practical.
We pride ourselves on providing independent, client-focused advice.
Our objective is not simply to identify a problem, but to help establish the most practical and commercially appropriate solution.
Whether a client requires an EPC for a single property, certification across an entire portfolio, assistance with a new development or advice on improving an existing building's energy performance, British EPC provides a responsive and professional service from initial instruction through to completion.
More Than an EPC
As energy performance becomes increasingly important to the commercial property market, an EPC is no longer simply another compliance document.
Energy efficiency can influence lettability, investment decisions, ESG objectives, operating costs and future asset strategy.
British EPC combines certification with wider energy expertise, helping clients understand where their properties stand today and how they can improve their performance for the future.
