Springfields Outlet Centre Spalding

Commercial EPC Portfolio | 14 Retail Units | EPC B–C Ratings

British EPC was appointed to undertake Commercial EPC assessments across 14 retail units at Springfields Outlet Shopping Centre, replacing existing certificates that were due to expire during the year.

The Project

The instruction involved coordinating the assessment of 14 individual retail units, each with its own layout, occupation and building services.

Working across a multi-unit retail environment requires an efficient and consistent approach, ensuring each property is individually assessed while allowing the wider programme of EPC renewals to progress smoothly.

The Assessment

British EPC carried out detailed energy assessments across all 14 units, reviewing the building fabric, lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation and other relevant building services.

Particular attention was given to accurately reflecting the current specification of each unit rather than simply relying upon information contained within the previous EPC assessments.

The Outcome

The results were extremely positive, with all 14 retail units achieving EPC ratings between B and C.

This provided the client with an updated portfolio of strong-performing Commercial EPCs and demonstrated the energy performance of the individual retail units across the centre.

The project highlights British EPC's ability to efficiently manage multi-unit and portfolio EPC programmes, providing property owners and managing agents with a coordinated approach to upcoming EPC expiries.
